Organic group in Thanh Dong – Cam Thanh

Being formed by 11 farming households cultivating in an area of 6,380 square metres established in January 2013, Thanh Dong Organic Group is an activity of the project "Developing organic farming model in Thanh Dong, Cam Thanh" implemented the People's Committee of Cam Thanh commune in collaboration of the City Division of Economy and Action for the City.
After being trained on Procedure of Organic Vegetable Production by organic agriculture experts in 15 weeks, the organic group launched their production on April 2014. Group members are farming households living in Thanh Dong village for a long time. They have set up the group, imposed group rules, and discussed group tasks together. Each member is assigned clear tasks and responsibilities. Mr. Pham Meo is elected as the group lead because of his prestige and enthusiasm.
